It Always Seems Impossible Until It’s Done.

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” - Nelson Mandela
I’ve been reflecting on the impossible lately.
I have big targets and big dreams for myself and my contribution in the world.
I am not “realistic” at all. I never have been.
It’s not an interest of mine to be realistic, that would bore me to literal death.
And, I’m also all too familiar with looking at those big dreams and having the thoughts, feelings, fears that it’s impossible.
Sometimes it has seemed hard because I would look around and there would be no evidence to back up the possibility of what I knew could and should be.
Everything is seemingly telling me it's impossible, so it must be, right?
No. "It always seems impossible until it's done."
I've come to realize that our vantage point is so narrow when we start looking from what is in front of us to what is possible.
We forget and lose sight of the literal miracles happening all around us, and that have been happening since the beginning of time.
This planet exactly positioned to support life was an impossibility until it was possible. That life moving from water to land was an impossibility until it was possible. Each technological breakthrough was an impossibility until it was possible. The four-minute mile was an impossibility until it was possible.
Even your body is a miracle walking!
Miracles are everywhere all the time.
Possibilities and miracles are actually the standard.
...and...
There always had to be a first, the one who actualized that possibility and allowed everyone else to know it could be done.
Maybe it’s feeling impossible right now because for everyone else it is impossible until you open the door to a new possibility.
So friend, what do YOU know is possible? Are you willing to be the possibility that only you can be?
